Schefflera digitata was formed in 1992 in Sweden by two brothers: Hans and Franco Abegg. During it’s working period other members joined every once in a while, but none of them is as recongnized with schefflera digitata as Hans and Franco.
Schefflera digitata issued only two albums and this one is their debut album, recorded in 1992 in the same lighthouse appearing on the album art picture. Incidentally, Hans and Franco’s surname “Abegg” means “from the corner of a mountain” and it was the reason Hans and Franco chose that location.
Their music can be described as “hypnotic ambient entangled with harsh hip-hop beats and lyrics” - a combination that might explain the bands early demise into the pits of anonymity.
